Participants this week:
Major Topics covered -
Dave Georgeson spent all weekend working with microvoxels! The end result on his claim on Liberation - Bluff is quite impressive. He coined the terms "Microvoxel Welding" and "Organic Curve Extrusion" during the livestream.
Microvoxel Welding - Creating crazy shapes from voxels smoothed down to a smaller size, placed on another surface to create interested effects
Organic Curve Extrusion - The placement of one microvoxel (voxel smoothed 8 times in his case) next to another causing a line to form between them.
The best tip of the entire show in my opinion was that you can re-paste a microvoxel over itself to remove the visual artifacting if desired. Its worth watching the entire replay just for this tip.

The above images were submitted by Kelemdoor (dragon) and Ianwarr (statue) during our livestream after Landmark Live on twitch. Very impressive work!

In today's "Landmark Live", Colette "Dexella" Murphy and Terry Michaels walked us through highlights from the roadmap posted last week and answered questions from chat and the forums.
A new tool type, the pulverizer will be released soon. Artwork last week on the forums was put to a vote for the fan favorite, and due to the massive support for a 4th option, they have listened! We will be getting a version of the pulverizer with the bit from choice two and the handle from choice three.
There were two new how-to features during the live stream. The first by Troy Mishler, environment artist for EverQuest Next Landmark where he walks us through how to properly use the line tool to make a curved roof. Definitely a good tutorial to get the finicky line tool to not go all crazy.
The second tutorial was a user submission from The Obzzarvatory where they show us a great method of building a spiral staircase.
Build one of the following (or multiple?) and get featured!
You can watch the entire twitch stream here: http://www.twitch.tv/eqnlandmark/b/504789341 - The stream starts at around 7:15

The once monthly EQN Landmark Livestream is now the weekly "Landmark Live". Every Wednesday at 4PM Pacific time, tune in to the EQNLandmark twitch channel for updates, demos, featured videos and more.
This week's participants were:
They highlighted changes since the last livestream including the drop of the NDA, forums becomming publicly visible, and the game moving to 64 bit only. Lastly, Dexella urged players to submit to the weekly screenshot thread as well as submitting videos to player direct. Your submission might be chosen to appear in next week's Landmark Live livestream. This week's theme for the screenshots was valentine's day inspired with greate claim pictures of giant hearts, cupid, and cuddly bears.
FelgonSOE demonstrated how you can build colums as he built a roman inspired area with the new sandstone and stucco/plaster. He also showed how to properly use the select tool with smoothing to achieve some great results.
Servers went down halfway through the livestream to implement the latest patch with the following highlights:
Lastly, some future (soon) enhancments were both confirmed and hinted at:

We created an optical illusion for the devs at EQNL who are dedicating so much of their time to make this game great. Here it is (sorry for the video jumpiness). You need to watch it in full screen for the effect.
We love the openness and transparency from the dev team. It really helps with player frustrations when they know just how much work is going in to making this game a success. I forsee Landmark being around for many years to come.

Its official... No more NDA in EverQuest Next Landmark! That means we get to start bringing out regular content updates to all of you fine people. Not to mention the launch (coming soon) of our live in-game EQNL streaming at our twitch.
First Content Drop: Check out the color keyboard map that we created. And if you notice anything that we blundered on, let us know in the Forums!
And why the sorta? Right as they dropped the NDA, the server crashed doh! EQN Landmark servers should be back up shortly.
Despite the glitches, it is alpha right, we love what we have experienced so far and are looking forward to interacting with all of you in the world of Landmark.
